Absolutely Perfect 66-1
- I recently traded a Stoeger Cougar 9mm for my S&W 66-1. Gotta tell you its the best trade I have ever made in life. I bought the Cougar 8000 for $420 brand new. It shot great but no accuracy whatsoever. I'm a marksman, I know how a gun should shoot. So I traded it to a buddy who wanted it because he also has a 92fs Beretta. He messed up, believe me. I have shot a couple hundred rounds of 38 and 357 and love the feel of both. I had a run in with a dope head a couple weeks back and had to pull the Stoeger on him. No intimidation at all. I have a feeling that will not be the case if some crack head runs up against my 4" barrelled .357---Plus the K frame is so perfect because it will fit most hand sizes. Very happy with my trade and won't consider selling it or trading it. Definitely a fan of S&W now. They won me over.

Samson
- Great firearm. Accurate and very reliable. I have many handguns but this one feels just great in the hand. Another plus is you can shoot 38 Special ammo for target practice. I am a retired Peace Officer and have always enjoyed it.

Highway Patrol Model
- I received this gun as a gift from my grandfather, who was an antique and gun dealer. This gun is a 66-1 model and was in service with the NC highway patrol. It has the department seal engraved on the opposite side of the Smith & Wesson emblem. This gun had been in service for a number of years and was like new when I got it. No telling how many rounds have been fired through it. It's easy to clean, easy to maintain, incredibly reliable, accurate, and instantly intimidating.

I have a 66-2
- I also paid $300 for my police trade in M66-2 with a 4" barrel and Hogue monogrip. It is ferocious when shooting full-power 357s, and accurate with everything I've stuffed into its chambers - from inverted 38 hollow base wadcutters to 180 grain FMJ silhouette bullets. I feel really confident with this gun in my hand and I can hit stuff with it a lot farther away than most folks would expect. This is my go-to gun, and it's a tie between this and my S&W M&P 40 for "the one I'd pick if I could have only one gun".

Model 66 a fine revolver
- The S&W Model 66 Revolver in 357 Magnum with a 2-1/2 inch barrel is a fine revolver, and extremely accurate and reliable.

S&W model 66-3
- I own a S&W model 66-3 handgun with a 4" barrel and am very satisfied. The gun is used for hunting over here in Germany, and in conjunction with Hydra-Shock ammo the result is quite awesome. Good Gun.

Model 66 the "Ben Shockley"
- I've always been a Smith fan. Colt Pythons are overrated and overpriced. The K frame Smith is a thing of legend. Just ask Ben Shockley (Clint Eastwood's character in "The Gauntlet"). Too bad they discontinued the 3" barrel.

Sights or Age
- I use the model 66 almost exclusively. The only problem I have with it is the rear sight adjustment. I don't feel any clicks when I adjust them, or is it just my age since I am an octogenarian who just loves shooting?

Smith & Wesson Models 66 and 19
- I trained in the 70s at FLETC, Glynco, GA strictly with Model 19 2 1/2 in. barrel. Thousands of rounds through those. I bought one after the academy and it was my only carry/duty revolver. Got a Model 66 from a co-worker. Gave the model 19 to my oldest son for 21st BD. Gave the 66 to my dad. He returned it to me as a gift not long ago. Always had them in the family and will never part with them. The model 66 is my only carry piece. Dependable, short barrel, concealable, flawless, accurate to a fault, what else can be said?

Retired and I Own Three Model 66s
- I own three Model 66 revolvers, all with 6" barrel. I had one fully engraved by a master engraver. They all have real stag grips, they all shoot very good, and I plan to have the other two engraved also. I love all of them.

Retired
- I own a 66-3 that I have had fully engraved by a master engraver then put a set of Sambar stag grips on it. It is the most beautiful Revolver you can have, and by the way it shoots good too.

Awesome Wheelgun
- I just purchased a Model 66 (no dash) pinned and recessed. My husband had been looking at it and I couldn't resist snapping it up. I'd been looking for a 357 Magnum, as I have an older Bodyguard snubbie and a five-screw Combat Masterpiece which will only take regular 38 ammo, not 38 +P. I'm loving the Model 66 so far!

S&W 66
- If I were limited to one sidearm, it would be my 66.

Snub-Nose
- I have a 66-1 round butt with a 2.5 inch barrel. Great gun!

Will Never Get Rid of Mine
- Bought my 66-2 just a couple years ago for $300. It is the best investment I ever made. It is extremely accurate. I out-shot the guys with their 45's in my concealed carry class. They really hated that, after all the bragging they did. This gun is 100% reliable and accurate. I will never get rid of this gun for any reason. It is the best 357 I've fired.
