Make Mine a Model 99
- I got a Savage model 99 RE in 300 Savage that I dearly LOVE. Used it to hunt for a little bit of everything.

Greatest Lever of All
- How could you possibly have left out the Winchester Model 71? Great ballistics in all bullet weights made for this cartridge [348 Winchester].

Winchester Model 71
- I have used lever guns almost exclusively for 50 years. The best for deer and elk in my opinion is the Model 71 in 348 Win. Knocks everything down with one shot. I have shot elk that dropped so fast that I thought I had missed. The 71 handles like it is part of your body. Hits out to 300 yards not that difficult with practice.

Love my Marlin
- I recently bought my fourth Marlin Model 336, a 24-inch barreled A-model in 30-30. I also have a Winchester 94, my fifth one. The Marlin is my favorite by a long chalk. The Ruger intrigues me; its compact size and light weight would be perfect for my girlfriend who's a shade under 5 feet tall. Too bad they are discontinued.

Favorite Big Game Rifle
- Marlin 45-70g. Reloading can make this rifle work for any size game in the world.

Rossi Puma .38 Special
- Hi My Rossi is by far the best gun I have ever owned. With its smooth action, low recoil, and great clean wounds it's a great all-rounder. Thanks Nick

Marlin 336's are super!
- I have had a couple of 336's over the years and loved them. I have had 30-30's, but just recently picked up a 1970 Model .35 Remington. I can't wait to try it out on hogs this year. I will let you know how it works out.

Jason's Opinion
- The falling block is technically a lever action, so the Model One Ruger is number one. The Marlins make Browning look bad in price, performance, and strength.

Lever Guns
- Number one on my list is the Savage 99, a close second is the Marlin 336.

Merging Nostalgia and a Modern Cartridge
- All lever-actions! Especially my Browning 308 with 2x-7x Leupold scope. A light, nostalgic gun with a modern cartridge to make it even more versatile.

450 Marlin Lever Action
- I hunt the North Maine woods, and a big bore is needed. I used to use a 45-70 Guide Gun most of the time, but just recently I purchased a Marlin 450 and it's just as good if not better!

Winchester 94, 30-30 WCF
- Short-range hunting, 50 to 100 yards and perhaps just a tad more are the forte' of this rifle. It's light, handy, and accurate enough to make it a favorite of mine. Seven million 'Winnies' must mean they did something right! Try one, you will like it.

lever guns
- Marlin makes an exceptional gun, but let's not forget about the good ole Henry rifle.

Savage 99 375 Winchester
- Nothing feels like a Model 99 to carry with its smooth, round bottom. Not many lever guns hit a dime at 50 yards with a scope and the 375 whacks 'em hard, but recoil's mild. The case is essentially a straight walled 30-30. So if the 30-30 works, the 375 does it better due to larger frontal area. If someone bought the tooling and began making stainless versions, I would be first in line for a 375, no matter the cost.

Got to be Different
- I saw and shot my first lever action when I was 14, and it was a 45-70. Now I'm 38 and own an 1895, which I've been using for 13 years. A lot of people don't care for big bore guns but I never did like being with the crowd!
