The end product is certainly satisfactory... I just want you to know what you may expect if you choose to use Perma Fin yourself.
When I finished the rear sight elevator (seen in the photo above), I neither hung it nor secured it with tape, because I wanted to finish all surfaces of it evenly, and it had no hole for hanging.
I simply set it on the styrofoam block that I used for my screws and small parts, and sprayed one side of it. Then after I'd coated some other parts and given the elevator a few minutes to dry, I turned it over and shot the other side. Perma Fin sets up fast enough that this worked out very well. Be careful not to touch parts with ungloved skin, though, because that will prevent subsequent coats from properly adhering.
As always, the air pressure of the airbrush has a tendency to blow around anything that's not secured, so use care to prevent blasting small parts right off of your work surface.
