This week's installment in the Mauser series is about jeweling the bolt to cover its basic ugliness, and modifying the bolt shroud to make it look better and keep it unobtrusive. Rust pits and other imperfections are much harder to see under the guise of this simple method of polishing, and the shroud doesn't look incomplete, as it did before I did this work. I'm hoping to wrap this series up pretty soon, but until then I sure hope you're enjoying it.
