Review: Limb Saver Recoil Pad

Thursday June 22, 2006
I used the slip-on Limb Saver pad on a Ruger Red Label over/under 12 gauge shotgun, and I've shot several other guns - both rifles and shotguns - with these pads. Bottom line: they are great! Read the review for more details.

Howdy Ronald,

I think you want to contact the Limb Saver people about this. If so, you’ll want to visit their Web site at http://www.limbsaver.com/ and contact them there. This Web site where we’re having this discussion is not affiliated with Limb Saver in any way.

That said, yes, there are dove hunts where folks shoot dove after dove. Argentina is one such place, and it’s done in Mexico, also. The birds are obviously incredibly numerous, and are so thick that they are pests to the folks who live there - farmers, especially.

Hunters who kill a few of them (and when you have that many doves, 8,000 is only a drop in the bucket) are doing the locals a favor, and are paying good money to do so. This helps their economy, as well as their ecology.
