Release Trigger

Definition: A release trigger is simply a trigger that fires the gun when the trigger is released, rather than when it's pulled or squeezed. This type of trigger is sometimes used in trap shooting, which is naturally done with shotguns.
Pronunciation: Ree-lees Trig-er (noun)
Also Known As: Relaxing Trigger
Examples: Ten per cent or more of competitive trap shooters prefer to use a release trigger for trap shooting.
