The Bottom Line

This is a well-made tool of good design. I have constantly carried and used it for several years and am quite pleased with it, and I recommend it to anyone considering the purchase of a knife or multi-tool.

Guide Review - Leatherman Juice CS4 Multi-tool

Leatherman Does it Again

In my youth I eyeballed Leatherman PST multi-tools in various catalogs and drooled just a bit. I couldn't help wondering if they were well-made practical tools or just silly gimmicks. When my boss gave me a PST he had dug up while searching for a property marker, I cleaned it up and started using it. That's when I learned that Leatherman makes good stuff.

The Juice is no exception to that rule. After carrying a Swiss Army knife for years, I shelved it and shoved the CS4 into my pocket. I am disappointed in only two features of the tool, and they can be remedied - the awl isn't sharp, and the can opener mangles lids... but both could be re-shaped and sharpened.

Choose the tool combo you want, and get yourself a Juice. You won't be disappointed.
