The front sight is of an interesting quick-change design. The one you see here features a colorful plastic insert to aid in sighting the gun. Pressing a plunger at the front of the sight base allows for removal of the front sight.
The rear sight, which lives in a cutout built into the top of the frame, pivots on a cross-pin and moves up and down via an elevation screw. Removal of those two items will allow removal of the rear sight. If you remove it, be careful not to lose the spring(s) that are under it.
As with the Security Six, the cylinder latch is located on the left side of the frame, just aft of the cylinder. Press it inward (towards the centerline of the gun) to release the cylinder (which opens to the gun's left).
According to some, a considerable number of Redhawks have firing pins which are too short. At least one trusted gunsmith (Hamilton Bowen) makes extended firing pins for these guns.
