At first I thought I might just grab the piece to be removed and break it off with pliers, but this thing is tough and I didn't want to possibly bend the lever, so I simply cut it out little by little using the cutoff wheel. This photo shows it partly done. Notice that I haven't taken it down to the full depth yet.
  1. Decide Whether or Not to Cut Your AK's Selector (Safety) Lever
  2. Mark Your Lever
  3. Gather Your Tools
  4. Make Initial Cuts and Try it Out
  5. Finish Cutting the Notch
  6. Test it Again
  7. Make Final Changes
  8. Blue it
  9. Install and Enjoy!
