Notching an AK-47 Safety Selector Lever for Bolt Hold-Open

I decided that I wanted my gun to have a bolt hold-open feature, and that it was worth chopping my selector lever (safety) to do so. This operation does not in any way affect the operation of the safety as far as preventing the gun from firing - it simply adds a function which was omitted by the designer. The downside is that with the bolt closed and the safety engaged, the safety no longer serves as a complete dust cover - the notch creates a small opening.
