Remove Recoil/Return Spring

Removing the action (return) spring from AK-47 rifle. In this photo, it has been moved forward and is almost disengaged from its grooves in the receiver.

Push forward on the return spring guide, which is the same thing you pushed forward on to remove the cover. Slide it forward until it comes out of the slots in the receiver, then lift it and remove the spring by sliding it rearward out of the bolt carrier.
