Remember when I told you that Perma Fin doesn't hide flaws in the metal? Well, here's proof.
If you look below the front sight hood at the sides of the barrel and magazine tube, you will see some imperfections in the finish. They are actually imperfections in the steel itself. They are pits left behind by some rust that ate away some of the steel years ago.
The slightly textured finish that Perma Fin produces does help to hide flaws. Pits like these would look worse on a re-blued gun.
