The photo shows the left side of the finished gun. Not bad, if I do say so myself.
When I put the rear sight back onto the gun, I wanted to protect the finish all I could. So I scrounged up a thin piece of cardboard (similar to card stock) and placed it between the barrel and the rear portion of the rear sight as I started the sight into its dovetail notch in the barrel.
I then placed a brass drift against the rear sight and caressed that with my brass hammer. The sights on this gun fit their dovetails tightly, and I had to smack it pretty hard to drive it in, but Perma Fin stood up to the abuse, and wasn't hurt at all. Very impressive.
