This photo shows the barrel, magazine tube, front barrel band & screw, front sight hood, and magazine plug & screw. Everything is cured and ready for assembly. This is the day after I sprayed the final parts with Perma Fin, and it's already fully cured.
Again, you can see some of the texture that resulted from my airbrush problems. The barrel is noticeably more textured than the magazine tube, which I sprayed at an earlier date.
If you look closely at the magazine tube cap, you can see a sag in the finish, where I over-applied it. In the photo the sag is at the top left (10:00-11:00) portion of the plug. Disappointing, but not a big deal.
I made sure to have some threading taps on hand in case I needed to chase out threads in finished parts, in the event that they became filled with Perma Fin, but I had no problem with that and didn't have to freshen up any of the threads.
