Definition: These types of deer stands may or may not be elevated. They are often built right on the ground, and just as often are built atop posts in an elevated position. These stands offer the best chance of comfort, if they are designed and built correctly.
Often simple rectangular wooden boxes featuring roofs and/or walls (thus the name), box blinds can often offer a degree of comfort and camouflage that other types of stands cannot.
This is by far the best type of permanent stand to use in an area where you plan to hunt for years to come, where trees may be at a premium (or may be off-limits for stand installation), and/or where you already have a good idea that game is in the area - because moving these stands is often a chore bordering on impossible.
