This final image shows both sides of the Rage 2-blade expandable broadhead. This view does a pretty good job of showing the damage to the bent side blade, as well as the broadhead's bent nose.

Check out the article about the hunt to see photos of the blood trail and wound that this broadhead produced, fired from a crossbow at a range of ten yards. The deer died within seconds, within sight, 26 paces from where it stood when I fired the arrow.

I have become a fan of this Rage broadhead... but a cautious one. This deer was shot under almost ideal circumstances - broadside, standing perfectly still, with a fairly fast crossbow, at close range. And under those conditions, the Rage head performed excellently.

I feel that a slower bow, lighter arrow/broadhead combination, and/or longer range may have adversely affected penetration and thus produced a less desirable result. But that's just cautious conjecture until (and unless) it is proven to me. Right now, all I know for sure is that the first time I shot a deer with an arrow, I used a crossbow and a two-blade Rage head that performed perfectly, and I brought that deer home with me.

And until/unless I find something better, my arrows will be tipped with Rage heads whenever I head into the woods with my crossbow.
