Spare... what?!
I've gotten some odd looks when mentioning the Spare Bladder to
other hunters... it seems this item hasn't gotten a lot of press.
But it can be handy, if you'd rather not urinate in the woods.
Opinions vary on whether or not the smell of human
urine in the woods will spook deer or other game, but many hunters
feel they shouldn't take a chance with it. The Spare Bladder performs
as advertised, and is more compact and packable than a bottle. Directions
are straightforward and include the possibility of use by women.
I also used the warmth of the gelled urine to warm
my frigid fingers. That may sound gross to some, but hey, if we're
going to pee in bottles and bags, what's wrong with using some of
the residual body heat to our advantage?
If you don't like peeing in the woods or packing
a bulky bottle around, then consider trying the Spare Bladder. Just
be careful with it after it's filled... after all, it's just a plastic
bag.
