The rifle I put together was made up of old and new parts, and naturally I wanted them all to look pretty much the same. I chose to use a spray-and-bake finish called Cerama-Coat. As far as home gun finishes, I've used better and I've used worse. None really compare with a professional job - but they don't cost nearly as much, either.
