I've tried several different types of aftermarket ammo boxes for holding ammo for my hunting rifles, and this one isn't perfect - but it's my favorite. The top locks to the bottom, which can be aggravating when you open the box - but it sure beats having the box come apart and dump your ammo all over the place. It could be a good choice for transporting factory ammo as well, as long as you remember to tape the factory box's end flap to this box so it will always be clear what ammo the box contains...
