The civilian version of the old AK47 is a pretty good gun - but it's not always conducive to that secure feeling you get when you can look at a gun and see its bolt locked open - and therefore know that it cannot fire. I cut a notch in the safety lever/dust cover of this rifle, to hold the bolt open. This is an easy gunsmithing project that you can probably do at home if you want to.
