About a year ago, I was in the early stages of this rifle project. Little did I know just how involved the project would become or how much work it was going to be when I took it on. But hey - if it's not worthwhile to build a fine sporting rifle out of a rusty, rattly, banged-up hunk of junk, then what is? This week I'll introduce you to the rifle and the project, and talk about how it all began and how it began to mushroom into something completely different. In future installments, we'll walk through the entire process of turning this thing into a nice rifle that later took a fine whitetail buck on its first hunt.
