Happy Thanksgiving! I'm certainly giving thanks today...
Way back in 1999, I went on my first Georgia deer hunt. I didn't see much game - in fact, I think I only laid eyes on three deer during the entire trip - but I was hooked anyhow. For years, I hunted and visited as a guest - and then, in summer of 2012, I became a co-owner of the place. Angels sang; it was a wondrous event. But that was nothing compared with what happened on the second morning of my first gun hunt after becoming an owner... when I took a very impressive buck that served to commemorate my lengthy journey. Here's hoping that it's just the tip of the iceberg and a sign of more wonderful things yet to come!
