I got this kit from Brownell's when I decided to rebarrel a Savage 30-06 and make my very own custom 338-06. Any regrets? Well... only that it's heavy. But for a pre-chambered barrel that's easy to install without any complicated gunsmithing, you could do much worse. I hated the extra weight of this big barrel when I started carrying the gun in mid-season, but I used it all of the following season without really noticing or caring about the weight. It looks good and shoots well, also - and has put a number of critters on the ground and in my freezer.
