Why Will a Rifle Zeroed at 25 Yards Hit Close to Aim at Longer Range?

Ever seen the charts and graphs which indicate that a high-powered rifle cartridge such as the 30-06 Springfield can be zeroed to hit at point of aim at 25 yards, and will then hit a little high at 200 yards and then hit at point of aim again before it hits lower at longer range? Seems weird, huh? This article tells you why, and gives guidelines for zeroing your rifle so you can hold "point-blank" aim and still get your deer.
