It's getting to be close to a century since the USA entered World War I... and when that happened, supplies of our standard military sidearm, the Colt M1911 semi-auto 45 ACP pistol, were fairly low. The gun in this article comprised half of the government's answer: a double action revolver that shoots the same ammo as the now-revered 1911.
