Review - Leatherman Vista Hunting Multitool

Thursday July 31, 2008
This funky multi-tool from Leatherman combines bypass pruners (very handy for trimming stuff from shooting lanes and trails and such) with a number of other cool tools, and it all folds up and stows in a sturdy camo nylon sheath. Is it better than a pair of hardware-store pruners...?

Russ,
I just read your description of the Eastern Gray Squirrel, although I gave up hunting altogether after a deer hunting experience. your comments reminded me that there are still natural resources that can replenish quickly and provide that ancestral experience of hunting in the woods. It was a bonding experience for me and my father and his no account friends, whom otherwise I had no common interests with, even as a kid I could not stand their rowdy, physically intimidating, club-hunt. But as I look back on that experience, as a survivor :-) I can appreciate it as grist for future writing experiences, if nothing else.
