Take a Kid Hunting

Tuesday June 17, 2008
You won't find anything better than hunting with a kid. It helps bridge the generation gap, and brings families closer to each other - and closer to God and His creation. Meanwhile, you get to help teach a young 'un to be safe with guns, and have fun doing it. If you're considering taking a kid hunting, this article can be a great resource for you, no matter what your age or level of experience.

I also believe more of us today need to introduce their kids to the outdoors. Get them off the couch, away from the video games, and in to mother nature. My son (age nine) has already turned into an avid hunter and fisherman. Not only do we hunt and fish together we also run trap lines and compete in archery shoots throughout the spring and summer. But he isn’t the only one out there with me, yes thats right, my twelve year old daughter is out by my side. She is probably the best fisherman in the bunch. The memories we already share are many and we share them with friends with our picture albums. You will be a much closer family.
