What about a book about ammunition, listing hundreds of cartridges, including practical and historical information about each one? Got your curiosity piqued? Maybe not... the value of such a book may not be readily evident. In fact, though, this is one of the most-often-referred to books in my reference library, and can really make for some interesting reading.
More than four decades after it was first published, and 17 years after the author passed away, this book is still going strong, with newer cartridges added by subsequent editors. It's not all good, and it's not all bad...
